IncontiLase®

IncontiLase® is Fotona's non-invasive Er:YAG laser therapy which is used to treat mild to moderate stress urinary incontinence.

This innovative laser procedure induces non-aggressive, thermal stimulation and collagen regeneration while shrinking and tightening the anterior vaginal wall.

This in turn leads to greater support for the bladder and restores its normal function.

IncontiLase® therapy is performed at MC MARKOVS with Fotona's high-tech NX Dynamis laser system. It practically mimicks the effect of natural estrogen stimulation on the vaginal mucosa. This induces the regenerative processes and restores the firmness of the vaginal wall, strengthens its function and increases sensitivity.

The main advantage of IncontiLase® is that the procedure is performed in an outpatient setting (in an office) – painless, without ablation, without surgical incision, without bleeding and without sutures. Recovery is extremely fast, without the need to use analgesics and antibiotics.

How does the procedure go?

Fotona's IncontiLase® laser therapy takes place in two stages. The procedure is performed on a gynecological chair. Your Ob/Gyne specialist will insert a special glass speculum into the vagina, which limits the contact with the laser applicator. The vaginal mucosa is then processed with the aplicator along its entire length, working according to a strictly prescribed protocol. There is usually no pain or burning sensation during the procedure. Around the vaginal entrance, ocasionally, it is possible to feel a slight burning sensation which is short-lived. The duration of the procedure is between 30 and 40 minutes.
