3D ultrasound of the pelvic floor is a highly specialized three-dimensional ultrasound examination of the pelvic muscles, fascia and related organs and structures.
Transperineal access with a 3D abdominal probe is usually used, i.e. the probe does not penetrate the vagina.
The examination is performed on a couch and does not require prior preparation on the part of the patient.
