Breast ultrasound
Ultrasound examination of the breast is a non-invasive and safe method for the diagnosis of a number of benign and malignant processes in the mammary gland.
Sound waves are used to pass through the tissue of the gland and an ultrasound image is generated on a screen that is subject to interpretation.
The main advantages of the method are that it does not involve any radiation (non-invasive nature), it is performed easily and quickly, without prior preparation on the part of the patient.
The only condition is to have quality ultrasound equipment and a qualified OG specialist.
If there is a questionable finding during the ultrasound examination, additional diagnostic tests are usually recommended.
For more information about the possibility of performing an ultrasound examination of the breast at MC MARKOVS, you can contact your doctor or call at the registration desk.
